Grooming as the beginning of a beautiful friendship

A crate-free boutique salon and teaching studio where dogs are listened to, owners are taught, and every visit is built on trust rather than restraint.

Our Story

We put the pet first — always

Bright cottage grooming room with an oak table, brass fittings and dried flowers

Finders Clippers offers grooming as part of a holistic approach to building a fruitful relationship between pets and their people. No crates. Just communication and trust.

Here, going to the groomer is a beautiful and genuinely fun experience — where your dog grows, learns, plays with other pets and people, and gets to practise speaking dog. It is the most unique grooming experience in the business, because we focus on the pets rather than the numbers.

Our wider mission is to empower owners to produce exceptional grooms at home and to build a balanced, predictable environment rooted in clear communication.

Kind Words

From pet parents & students

"Our anxious rescue used to shake the whole way there. Erica let him take his time, no crate, no rush — he now trots straight through the door."

Hannah M.

Grooming client

"The most beautiful groom our doodle has ever had, and the first one where nobody had to apologise for his coat. She taught me how to keep it that way."

Danielle P.

Grooming client

"I took the two-hour workshop before starting my own grooming journey. Worth ten times the price — real hands-on teaching, no gatekeeping."

Questions

Good to know

Do you use crates or cage dryers?

Never. Dogs are with us, not stored away. We work one dog at a time where possible, using hand drying and plenty of breaks so the whole visit stays calm.

How long does a groom take?

Most full grooms take two to three hours depending on coat condition and how many rest breaks your dog needs. We will never rush a dog to meet a clock.

What if my dog is matted?

Comfort comes before appearance. If a coat cannot be brushed out safely we will talk through a shave-down with you first. A dematting fee applies to impacted coats.

What do I need before my first visit?

Complete the new client intake on this page, attach your vaccination or vet records, and review the agreements. That is everything.

Do I need experience to take a class?

Not at all. Group workshops welcome complete beginners, and 1-on-1 sessions are built entirely around your dog and your goals.

Can I bring my own dog to a workshop?

Yes — most students do, and it is the best way to learn. Let us know your dog's temperament when you enrol so we can plan the room.
